How much does face painting cost?

Every event is different, so I quote each one. The price depends on how long you need me, how many children are coming and where the event is. Send me an enquiry and I'll reply with a quote, usually within a day.

Which areas do you cover?

All of Auckland: north to Orewa, south to Drury, east to Kawakawa Bay and west to Muriwai, including the North Shore, West, Central, East and South Auckland. Tell me your suburb and I'll include travel in your quote.

How many faces can you paint in an hour?

It depends on the designs. With quick party designs I can usually paint around 10 to 15 faces an hour. Full-face designs take longer. Tell me how many guests you're expecting and I'll suggest how much time to book.

Are the paints safe for children's skin?

I only use professional, cosmetic-grade face paints made for children's skin, and they wash off with soap and water. I use clean brushes and sponges for every event. If a child has sensitive skin or allergies, let me know and I can do a small test patch or paint a design on the hand or arm instead.

What age is face painting suitable for?

Most children aged 3 and up love it. Younger children can have a small design on the cheek or hand. Adults are very welcome too.

How far in advance should I book?

Weekends book up quickly, especially in spring and summer and around school holidays. Enquiring two to four weeks ahead is a good idea, but it's always worth asking if your date is sooner.

What do I need to provide on the day?

A small table, two chairs and a bit of space, ideally in the shade if we're outdoors. I bring everything else.

Do you paint at school fairs, festivals and corporate events?

Yes. As well as birthday parties, I paint at school and kindy fairs, community festivals, markets, church events and staff family days.

What happens if it rains?

For outdoor events, please have a covered area ready as a backup. If your event is cancelled, get in touch as soon as you can and we'll work out a new date.

How does the paint come off?

Warm water, a little gentle soap and a soft cloth. Glitter may need a second wash.

Planning a party or event?

Tell me the date, the place and roughly how many children are coming. I'll send you a quote.
